To support the work of leaders and organizations of good faith and goodwill in the Dominican Republic for the social and spiritual renewal of children and families living in economically vulnerable places.

Mario Luis Matos
He has served as evangelist, church planter, and Community Development worker since 1990 and also serves as the executive director of COCREF – Christian Reformed Schools. Mario earned an M.A. in Theology and Education at Calvin Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, MI. and is ordained with the Christian Reformed Church in the Dominican Republic. Mario’s passion is to equip and mentor other leaders for Christian service.
Amie Spriensma earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Grand Valley State University in 1999; she earned her Master of Arts in Inter-cultural Studies in 2001 and a Master's in Biblical Counseling in 2007. She loves the Lord and is passionate about seeing children grow up to know and serve Him. She has worked in donor relations with Hope Rising since 2013 and enjoys meeting people of all ages and stages of life. When she visited the Dominican Republic a few years ago, she was touched by the testimonies of people around her who were committed to long-term service in challenging situations. Together with her Dominican friends and partners, she desires to see lives and communities transformed to the glory of God.
