OUR FOUNDATION
Hope Rising International affirms the Lausane Covenant and relies on the Bible as our sole foundation for faith and practice.
We believe that the Incarnation of Christ calls and sustains an incarnational people, whose mission is to bear witness to the kingdom of God.
Such mission keeps in creative tension the person and work of Jesus with equal strength and integrity. This involves the redemption of people, as well as the transformation of places. Touch the body and soul. Look for righteousness and justice. Look for transformational and systemic change.
It is comprehensive and radically inclusive. Intentionally crosses borders: cultural, ethnic, social, economic, and even religious. It is particularly concerned about those people and places that have erroneously been labeled the irredeemable, least, last, and lost. It is the whole Gospel, for the whole person, for the whole church, for the whole world.
This perspective shapes how we seek to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God and the people of marginalized neighborhoods in the Dominican Republic
